The Assistant Town Manager, at the direction of the Town Manager, supervises the Annual Budget process, has specific oversight of the Departments of Finance, Planning, Information Technology, Facilities & Fleet Services, and Parks & Recreation, and serves as the Town Manager in his absence. Town Clerk: Georgia A. Evangelist, MMC
The Town Clerk has the statutory duty of keeping the Town’s official history and performs a complex variety of work related to records management; gives public notice, attends all public meetings of the Council, is responsible for the publication of agendas, minutes, and for the permanent preservation of all Council proceedings in accordance with the general statues and local ordinances, ensuring document accessibility; handles requests for public information and performs other local government related duties.
Town Attorney: Hank Fordham
The Town Attorney is appointed by the Town Council, and serves as the Town's chief legal officer. The Town Attorney's duties include: advising the Mayor, Town Council and other Town officials with respect to the affairs of the Town; litigating suits relating to the affairs of the Town; drafting and reviewing charter revisions, proposed legislation, ordinances, policies, rules and regulations relating to the affairs of the Town; drafting and reviewing agreements, contracts, leases, releases, franchises and other legal documents with which the Town may be concerned; attending meetings of the Town Council; and performing other duties as the Council may direct from time-to-time.
